Guests
The orchestra owes its success in part to relationships with exceptional
guest soloists. Musicians from different disciplines are often brought
together, providing Henk Meutgeert the opportunity to arrange intriguing
shifts in style and detail. In recent years we've had the pleasure
of performing with Joe Henderson, Lee Konitz, Lew Tabackin, Misha
Mengelberg, Han Bennink, Madeline Bell, Joe Lovano, Johnny Griffin,
James Carter, Simon Nabatov, Monty Alexander, Rita Reys, Bert Joris,
Cedar Walton, Wolter Wierbos, Ronald Snijders, Richard Galliano,
Michel Portal, Yuri Honig, George Coleman, Toots Thielemans, Mathilde
Santing, Miranda van Kralingen, Roy Hargrove, Michiel Braam, Dado
Moroni and Dee Dee Bridgewater.

Projects
We initiate and participate in special projects with other ensembles.
Examples are work with I Fiaminghi, the WDR Big Band, the Brussels
Jazz Orchestra, The Sacred Concerts with Jessye Norman, Mark Markham,
the Castagneri Quartet, the London Adventist Ensemble and the North
Netherland Orchestra. We also enjoy performing educational youth concerts
in the hope of stimulating the next wave of talent.
